Pippi learns that her father has been kidnapped by a band of pirates. She, along with Tommy and Annika, sets sail for the South Seas to rescue him.

Fed up with their parents' rules, Pippi's friends decide to run away from home. They venture into the Swedish countryside with Pippi and her horse, encountering fun along the way.
