Description
This reference contains alphabetically arranged entries on 51 historical and contemporary women economists. Each entry includes a brief introduction, biographical sketch, summary of contributions, and selected bibliography of works by and about the person discussed. The authors assert that while all are not equally important to the development of the field, each economist profiled has made a difference in the scope, depth, or use of economics. James Cicarelli is Professor of Economics at Roosevelt U. and Julianne Cicarelli teaches at the Huntington Learning Center in Arlington Heights, Illinois.
