Once upon a time a prince fell in love with one of the dancing princesses. They marry and are given the kingdom of Love's Keep. There is a catch, of course: Love's Keep will only flourish if the King and Queen stay in love. The Prince Ambrose and Princess Imelda are on their way to happily ever after when, at the wedding brunch, Imelda eats a tainted tomato and falls deathly ill. To save her, Ambrose makes a deal with a witch--Imelda's life in exchange for their love. Sadly, without their love, they cannot stay long at Love's Keep. A year and a day after their wedding they are packing up to leave when the witch that saved Imelda has a quest for them. Retrieve a potion for her and she will grant them their fondest wish. Aided by a cloak that thinks it's a horse, Imelda and Ambrose start their dangerous journey to retrieve the potion. With callbacks to many classic fairy tales, Chokshi has fashioned a cheeky, fun, and sexy fairytale all her own. This novella, which was first an Audible Original, is a charming tale of adventure and love reforged. Highly recommended for all collections.
