While overcoming obstacles both natural and interpersonal Sloan and Cassidy grow closer and find that both have mistakes they need to right before they can move forward together. Jackson balances the stakes of the relationship well and builds to a satisfying conclusion. Returning characters from the "Westmoreland Legacy: The Outlaws" series will delight longtime readers but not overwhelm someone who is new to the series, and Jackson expertly seeds future books with her minor characters. The plot blends with the romantic plot for a satisfying conclusion without overwhelming the importance of the emotional connection.
