Booklist Review
Fans of the snappy new comic strip about a boy and his tiger will both welcome and decry the new collection of their adventures. Welcome because all the Sunday installments appear in full color, and because Watterson starts off the book with an eight-page ``Nauseous Nocturne,'' in verse and color-comic-book layout, on one of C&H's favorite themes-- things that go bump in the night. Decry, because, except for that starter, the contents are exactly those of Calvin and Hobbes (Andrews and McMeel, 1987) and Something under the Bed Is Drooling [BKL Je 15 88]. So, no new strips here, but if library use mirrors the C&H books' chart-topping trade- paperback bestsellerdom, that's no disincentive to purchase. In fact, multiple copies are probably downright necessary. RO.
