Description

Colette Avital has served as a Knesset Member for the Labor Party since 1999 where she has been an important voice on Israeli-Palestinian peace and wome?s issues. She has been actively involved in the Geneva Accord from the negotiations through the promotions. As a career diplomat, Avital rose through Israe?s foreign ministry to become its highest ranked woman. She served as the Israeli Consul General to New York and the Acting Consul General in Boston, where she gained much knowledge and experience in working with the American Jewish community. The title of this lecture is, "Building a Global Neighborhood: The Abrahamic Vision."
