Family of apes: Gibbons -- Chimpanzee -- Bonobo -- Orangutan -- Gorilla.
Description
Apes live in hot tropical and subtropical forests. They also live in great danger from hunters and illegal traders, and their forests are being destroyed by farmers and loggers. There are groups such as The Pingtung Rescue Center in Taiwan, supported by Monkey World in England who try to help. They search apes that are being illegally sold in Asian markets and work with the police to rescue them.
