Description
A young boy named Henry Cooper and his dog Pomegranate used to live in a house with both of his parents. But his parents have divorced now. On Mondays, Wednesdays and every other weekend they live with Mama in an apartment. On the other days he lives in a house with his papa. The two residents are only a couple of blocks from each other. Henry is adjusting, but Pomegranate doesn't understand not living in the old house.
Description
A fictionalized story about one of the differences that usually occurs as a result of divorce. The pictures show a different lifestyle of each parent. Mamma lives in an apartment in which there are several families in close contact, hearing their noises and smelling their food. This is different than living in a single family home which seems also to affect even the dog. Mamma's kitchen after fixing flapjacks seems nice and tidy, while at papa's, who seems to be living in a row town house, sort of a mix between the two styles of living, has a less than tidy kitchen after fixing pizza. Both are trying to make their individual homes happy for themselves and Henry even choosing not to live too far away from each other. When one day his dog, Pomegranate escapes both parents are in a panic trying to find him, but Henry knows just where he is and goes to their former house. A family has moved in and a little girl named Penny is in the yard and he introduces himself and offers to push her on the red swing that used to be his.
