Description
Various personal papers generated by Edmund C. Fleet or organizations that he belonged to are housed in RG 11. Fleet was prominent in Arlington's Black community and his activity in many of it's earliest organizations and churches is reflected here. The collection contains scattered records of Mount Zion Baptist Church, Arlington County Civic Federation, Odd Fellows Stevens Lodge, and others.
Biographical or Historical Data
Edmund C. Fleet (b.1902, d.1983) lived his whole life in Arlington Va.. He was an activist for the Black community in both Arlington and the District of Colunbia.
