Horn Book Review

In the latest -licious book, Pinkalicious finds a "merminnie" (miniature mermaid) on the beach. They spend the day together, enjoying mini golf, surfing, and so on. There's a message here about respecting natural habitats, but the story lacks drive, and the writing is out of cute-kid-book central casting ("Wheeeeeee, this is funtastic!"). The art is as slick as suntan lotion. (c) Copyright 2015. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
