A love story between the sun and the moon, happy visit to the dead we love, the bat that had the rainbow in the body, funeral laments of La Llorona, the legendary discovery of fire, among others, are traditional stories which are compiled in this book. They have met as a brief sample of the oral literature of what is now Mexico and as a hint to the rich landscape of international illustration.
