Description
Disc 1. The conversation : A routine wiretapping job turns into a nightmare when Harry, a surveillance man, hears something disturbing in his recording of a young couple in a park. His investigation of the tape and how it might be used sends Harry spiraling into a web of secrecy, murder, and paranoia. Disc 2. The French connection : Alain Chanier is a dapper businessman from Marseilles, France, who is in reality a drug lord working on a big score - selling $32 million worth of heroin in New York City. But his potential buyer - small-time hood Salvatore Boca - is being tailed by two undercover NYC cops, James "Popeye" Doyle and Buddy "Cloudy" Russo. The more Popeye and Cloudy dig, the closer they get - to the mysterious 'French connection' and a final showdown between the dealers and the police. Disc 3. McCabe & Mrs. Miller : An enterprising gambler and a bordello madam, both newcomers to the raw Pacific Northwest mining town of Presbyterian Church, join forces to provide the miners with a superior kind of whorehouse experience. The appearance of representatives of a powerful mining company with interests of its own, however, threatens to be the undoing of their plans. Disc 4. Mikey and Nicky : Nicky has embezzled a fortune from his Mafia bosses and is on the run. His only friend, Mikey, tries to help him escape - or will he lead him into a trap?
