Each box of RG 58 is an inclusive collection of Arlington County Government documents. Within each box, the documents are first arranged by their generating department. Then within each department the documents are arranged alphabetically. Although some departments will change name or perhaps cease to exist, the finding aid will always use the department listed within the document. Patrons may use the timeline of county departments attached to the finding aid. This will aid in the search for a department that may have undergone a name change or merged with another department.
