The material within RG 80 is arranged in two subgroups, architectural drawings and manuscript material. Within each subgroup the material is first divided by type of structure and then placed in alphabetical order. Some structures have numerous drawings while others may consist of one sheet.

RG 80 is a collection of architectural drawings and blueprints from the offices of Sharpe and Hamaker. The type of buildings include schools, churches, commerical buildings, and residences. There are both Arlington and non-Arlington locations.

Kenton D. Hamaker was born in Bonanza, Oregon. He recieved a bachelors degree in architecture from the University of Oregon in 1932. From 1933-1946 he worked as a freelance architect designing both commercial and residential buildings. In 1946, he and Howard W. Sharpe combined operations to open the architecture and contracting firm of Sharpe and Hamaker Inc. In addition to his work as an architect, Hamaker was involved with civic affairs in Arlington and Falls Church. He belonged to the Kiwanis Club of Falls Church and was both a member and the designer and builder of the Falls Church Presbyterian Church.
