"StudSensor™ A100 is an edge locating stud finder. Select from two scanning modes to find the edges of wood and metal studs and joists up to 11⁄2 in. (38 mm) deep. Equipped with WireWarning� Detection, the A100 alerts you to live unshielded electrical wiring when scanning in both StudScan and DeepScan� Modes. The SpotLite� Pointer, LCD screen, and audio tone indicate the location of the stud edge. StudScan Mode locates the edges of wood and metal studs up to 3/4 in. (19 mm) deep. DeepScan� Mode doubles the scanning depth to locate the edges of wood and metal studs up to 1 1/2 in. (38 mm). WireWarning� Detection indicates the presence of live, unshielded AC electrical wiring up to 2 in. (50 mm) deep in both stud scanning modes. Zircon's patented "over-the-stud" feature alerts the user if scanning begins over a stud. SpotLite� Pointer shines an arrow-shaped light on the scanned surface to clearly indicate the location of the target. Translucent base and illuminated "V" marker groove provides more accurate marking of target location.
