Description
The McLeans had been touched by the Civil War before as they lived near Bull Run in Northern Virginia. During the first battle their house was used as Confederate headquarters and again in the second Battle of Bull Run. The McLeans never wrote down what happened that fateful April day, but we know that Willie McLean who at the time was eleven years old was present. This is his story, as it might have happened.
