Description

John Huston won Oscars for his direction and screenplay based on B. Traven's adventure of greed and gold. Walter Huston, his father, also won an Oscar for his portrayal of the grizzled prospector who knows what gold can do to a man. Humphrey Bogart gives one of his most memorable performances as Fred C. Dobbs, whose mind is warped by the prospect of gold. Look for Robert Blake as the young boy who sells Dobbs a winning lottery ticket.
