Description
At the time of Benjamin Franklin's famous experiment with the key, kite and wire, his theories about electricity had already been tested in Europe and well received, especially in France. Being so beloved by the french citizens, he became America's first foreign diplomat, later helping to enlist France's military and financial support for the American Revolution. Although he devoted much time to politics, his first love was always science.
