Description
Nearly 500 years ago, a humble Augustinian monk challenged the whole of the western world through the deceptively simple act of posting a list of objections to the corruptions of the medieval church on the doors of the cathedral in Wittenberg, Germany. Intended as a local debate on clergy abuses, Martin Luther's audacity would ripple throughout Europe and echo through the centuries as the Protestant Reformation. Luther demanded nothing less than reform. Rejecting the authority of popes and councils, he stood soley on the authority or Scripture...sola scriptura...for faith, doctrine, and practice.
