Description
How scientists find out how things work: First a scientist pulls together all the observations about something. Next, he or she thinks up a question that the observations don't explain. Then a hypothesis, that which someone believes to be the correct answer to the question is formed. It must be a statement that can be tested. Next, an experiment is made to test the hypothesis in which everything that happens is written down. Finally the scientist looks at the results of the experiment and draws a conclusion. Sometimes, the conclusion is that the hypothesis is correct and other times, that it is not. If that is the case then another hypothesis is formed and experimented. This book will show you how to find out information about plants by using experiments.
