The Madison Manor Citizens Association application for inclusion in the Arlington County Civic Federation was accepted in 1948. At the time, the association had sixty paid members. The objective of the organization is to foster and advance all matters of civic interest of the homeowners in the recorded sections of Madison Manor. The McKinley Elementary school, built in 1951, is located in Madison Manor.
