The Then and Now series is published by the newspaper the Northern Virginia Sun. The Sun publishes an historic photograph of a scene in Northern Virginia and couples it with a current photograph of the same scene. A small article providing the history of the area accompanies the photograph.

This material, donated by Louise Chestnut, consists of three different requests for rezoning permits to convert already existing gas and service stations to gas and convenience marts.
