The photographs housed in PG 800 are images depicting an Arlington tract of land known in 1923 as the Cruit Tract. Today the area is commonly referred to as Lyon Village. Most of the images date from July or August 1923 and were taken during a land survey of the Cruit Tract. In addition, there are four images of Lyonhurst, a large estate owned by Frank Lyon, the developer of Lyon Village.

RG 28 houses miscellaneous pamphlets and ephemera concerning various topics dealing with Arlington County or nearby communities. Much of the materials are rare and/or limited editions. The collection is a valuable resource for patrons interested in finding historical information on local organizations, land markers, buildings, and events.

RG 30 houses reports written about Arlington County neighborhoods and specific historic buildings. These reports are, for the most part, unpublished works done by students of historic preservation from local colleges and universities, county generated studies, or Historic American Buildings Surveys (HABS). The subjects of the reports include neighborhoods, communities, and houses and buildings in Arlington.
