The Madison Manor Citizens Association application for inclusion in the Arlington County Civic Federation was accepted in 1948. At the time, the association had sixty paid members. The objective of the organization is to foster and advance all matters of civic interest of the homeowners in the recorded sections of Madison Manor. The McKinley Elementary school, built in 1951, is located in Madison Manor.

RG 15 houses incomplete records of numerous Arlington neighborhood civic organizations, most are current or past members of the Arlington County Civic Federation. Types of material include membership file s, constitutions, executive and general meeting minutes, newsletters, correspondence, subject files, reports, photographs and newspaper clippings.
