Personal trainer Trey Ziegler had one of the best bodies in the business until someone bashed his head in with one of Trey's trophies. Now Lieutenant Eve Dallas has to figure out who wanted Ziegler out of the picture while at the same time finding Christmas gifts for her friends and helping plan her billionaire husband Roarke's holiday soiree. As Dallas and her partner, Peabody, dig deeper into Trey's life, they discover that not only was the personal trainer offering extra services to female clients, but the sleazy scumbag was also doping some of the women in order to take advantage of them. In between trying to find a murderer with whom she is beginning to empathize and dealing with the millions of details involved in hosting a Christmas party on the scale of a presidential inauguration, Eve is starting to feel less like NYPSD's toughest cop and more like Scrooge. Robb (Concealed in Death, 2014) keeps her nearly decade-long In Death series fresh and entertaining.--Charles, John Copyright 2014 Booklist
