The Magician's Nephew is an entry in the popular Chronicles of Narnia series. Soon after Digory's inept magician uncle mistakenly sends Digory and Polly to an evil land, Aslan establishes Narnia and produces talking beasts and creatures of faerie. Branagh effectively re-creates the adventurous spirit of the various characters as he brings the magical land to life. Copyright 2019 Booklist Reviews.
